Established in 2007, Fair Farm Limited is a market leader in the horticultural industry, specializing in the production and exportation of high-quality fresh fruits, herbs, and vegetables. We are an Inter-Global Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and KenyaGAP certified company. Our goods meet the standards for environmental management and take into account the set standards. We offer Bio-operator certified organic products to our clients.

Production

We produce an assortment of horticultural products including vegetables, herbs, and tropical fruits. Our products are grown in a natural habitat that meets the laid down general principles. We observe the requirements set by the European council under the General Food Law Regulation (EC 178/2002). Adherence to these standards ensures that the production chain is well regulated starting from the seeding process all the way to the packaging and exportation process.

Packaging

Packaging plays a significant role in keeping products safe, extending their shelf-life and retaining their natural state and quality. It, therefore, plays a significant role in determining the overall state in which goods are received. With this understanding, we strive to shield our products from infiltration and to maintain their natural color and state from the moment they leave various farm units until they get to the consumer.

The goods are subjected to a rigorous process that meets the industrial requirements before packing. Our packaging process follows the British Retail Consortium (BRC) global standard for packaging and food safety. The process is done in a certified pack house. Here, the produce undergoes rigorous quality checks. Products that satisfy the set expectations are then pre-cooled before undergoing value addition. Other processes that follow include customization, private labeling, and package branding. These services ensure that the end customer gets products that are ready for the market, which they do not have to repackage.

Transportation

We acknowledge that transportation not only affects timeliness but also has an impact on the quality depending on the handling of goods on transit. We, therefore, strive to network with competent industrial players in the exportation industry. We liaise with leading global shipping companies to make certain that the set conditions are ideal for the consignments to prevent interference with the cool chain.

We work closely with leading shipping lines to ensure optimal transport conditions that avoid breaking the continuous cool chain for our export consignments. For air freight cargo, we work closely with clearing agents in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi to boost efficiency and ensure we stay on schedule. The proximity to the airport, which is located only 10 minutes from our pack-house, coupled with the use of cooled insulated tracks enhances efficiency while maintaining ideal transit conditions.
